The South Coast–Illawarra is easy to reach by train, just over an hour from Sydney. The train ride provides a stunning scenic experience along what’s known as the Sea Cliff Coast. For timetable information, please click here. Tours depart from any train station between Thirroul and Wollongong.
This tour is suitable for all fitness levels and explores the scenic Illawarra coast, with your choice of lunch at Stanwell Park or entry to Symbio Wildlife Park. It also features a couple of easy walks, each up to 1.5km.
Illawarra Sightseeing Tour – A Day of Scenic Lookouts and Hidden Gems
Pick-up between 8:30 and 9:00am from your hotel, motel, or train station, anywhere between Thirroul and Wollongong.
We follow the scenic Lawrence Hargrave Drive along the Illawarra Escarpment to the iconic Sea Cliff Bridge, an architectural marvel offering breathtaking ocean views. Then on to Bald Hill Lookout — one of Australia’s most renowned viewpoints and a premier paragliding site.
The tour includes your choice of lunch at Stanwell Park, or entry to Symbio Wildlife Park for up-close animal encounters, including hand-feeding kangaroos and wallabies.
We finish with an easy 1.2km walk to Madden Falls, before arriving at the Southern Gateway Centre – where a spectacular viewing platform reveals sweeping 180-degree views across the coastline and the Pacific Ocean — the perfect place to relax, take in the scenery, and enjoy a coffee, ice cream, or light snack.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be submitted no later than 48 hours before the scheduled service or event. (A transaction fee of AUD $5 will be deducted from the refunded amount to cover processing costs.)
